global war on safety

There is a war on. Several, actually.

The war on poverty. The war on drugs. The global war on terrorism.

As we analyze these wars we see that poverty is up. Drug use is up. And of course, terrorism is up. What can we conclude?

To improve safety, especially gun safety, we need to declare a war on safety. Of course the war requires a leader: a safety czar. The choice there would seem obvious. When not engaged in extreme lapses of proper procedure, the Vice President can lead us to safety.

And when we win the war on poverty, the war on drugs, the war on terror and the war on safety, perhaps we can declare war on competence.
